Mr. Lenhardt has successfully tried cases involving construction site accidents, product liability, automobile accidents, employment disputes and general personal injury litigation. In over forty years of practice, he has been responsible for handling more than 1,000 litigated matters. Mr. Lenhardt has also obtained favorable verdicts for his clients in more than forty Superior Court jury cases, many on behalf of governmental entities where he defended charges of police brutality, violation of civil rights, wrongful discharge and allegations of dangerous conditions of public property.

In addition, Mr. Lenhardt has defended major Southern California real estate developers and general contractors in construction litigation involving multi-million dollar claims. He has litigated in the areas of medical malpractice, insurance bad faith, attorney malpractice, malicious prosecution and real estate malpractice. He has also been successful in representing individual persons who have suffered injury at the hands of others. Several cases have resulted in verdicts or settlements of over one million dollars.

Mr. Lenhardt has served at the forefront of police litigation. He is a member of the California Police Officer Association and has lectured to the Los Angeles County Police Canine Association. Over the course of his legal career, he has represented a majority of the public entities in the County of Orange.

He is an associate member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and the Southern California Defense Counsel. Mr. Lenhardt has served as an instructor for the National Institute of Trial Advocacy. Since 1982, he has served as a Temporary Judge and arbiter for the Orange County Superior Court.

Mr. Lenhardt graduated with honors from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1970 and obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Southern California in 1973. In addition to being admitted in all courts in the State of California, he is admitted before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.

In his private life, Mr. Lenhardt has been active in his church for over thirty years, serving in several leadership roles. He has been a scouter in the Boy Scouts of America, a past member of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Mounted Posse, and past member of the Board of Directors of Seaview Lutheran Home.
