Since June of 1971, Mr. Schnaider’s law practice has been in the area of civil litigation, defending cases on behalf of insurance companies and self-insured entities. He has tried to verdict more than 80 jury cases and many non-jury cases, as well. His trial experience includes both state and federal courts. He has four published opinions in the California Court of Appeal on which he was both trial and appellate counsel. His trial experience includes cases involving wrongful death, brain injuries, motor vehicle accidents, medical malpractice, malicious prosecution, wrongful termination, civil rights violations, premises liability, product liability, and public entities. He has extensive experience in handling uninsured motorist bodily injury claims, including trials of coverage issues in that area of law. He has participated as a lecturer, in this area, on behalf of a national continuing education provider. He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates.

Mr. Schnaider has been a member of the California State Bar since January of 1970. At that time he was also admitted to practice in the Federal District Court in the Central District of California, Los Angeles. He was admitted to practice before the Federal Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in 1985, and in the Federal District Court in the Southern District of California, San Diego, in 1995.

Mr. Schnaider received his Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy, in 1966, from Loyola University in Los Angeles and graduated from Loyola Law School in 1969. While in law school, he was the recipient of a student teaching fellowship and was Executive Editor of the Loyola Law Review in 1968-1969. During the 1980s, he was a member of the Board of Governors of the Loyola Law School Alumni Association and was President of the Association in 1985-1986.

Born in Mexico City, Mr. Schnaider is fluent in Spanish.
